Attendance of international conferences is one of the major means of knowledge update, exposure, idea sharing and research collaboration. Sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, several core areas such as Haematological malignancy, TB, stem cell disorders, malaria and infectious diseases such as HIV are targets of the conferences.
- Primarily, to be supported for scholarship through grant, you must be able to convincing state and give details of your core areas of practice, state how it will benefit you and the community which your facility serves.
- Besides, give correct details of yourself by opening an account with the Foundation and have your profile on their platform.
- Since they have several programmes, choosing the most relevant conference is one key step you must get right.
- The Foundation has a no of means for supporting attendees, namely; under-represented trainee scholarships, student discounts scholarships, early career travel awards and Global Health Travel Awards.
