DKF Haematology is a pioneering platform dedicated to advancing the field of haematology through research consultation, collaboration, and continuous professional development. Our mission is to serve as a hub for biomedical scientists, researchers, and healthcare professionals who are passionate about haematology, including specialized areas such as paediatric haematology, haemostasis, infectious diseases, and blood transfusion science. Dr. Kolawole Asimiyu Fasakin, a distinguished Haematology Diagnostic Specialist and Medical Laboratory Scientist, leads DKF Haematology. He is a three-time Global Health Grant Award winner from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USA, for attending Keystone Symposia in the US and Canada on HIV Vaccines and Eradication/Cure. Dr. Fasakin is an alumnus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria, the University of Washington, Seattle, and is a postgraduate student at the University of Texas, Austin, US. He is also a Foundation Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science and a member of several learned societies, including MLSCN, AMLSN, HBTSSN, ISBT, IFBMLS, and Global Health Trials. He is an initiator and coordinator of research groups, inventor of Pinnacle Modified Leishman Stain and Teaching Slides after 22 years of continued research
